Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. For me, Top Ten Tuesdays are a great way to reflect on some of the reading experiences that I have had over the years. And this week’s meme is no different. It’s a look back on some of the books that I had a struggle with initially, but got elevated as books I love. Well, since I’m one of those who rarely perseveres with a book when I feel like I’m hitting a hard wall with it, this list of books is made up of the reads that put up just a little resistance. Here goes:
- The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman
- Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
- The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkein
- Harry Potter (the series) by JK Rowling
- Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen
- Love Story by Eric Segal
- Mayada by Jean Sasson
- Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden
- Brida by Paulo Coelho
Awesome list- I literally love so many of the books on here!! I loved Yellow Wallpaper, Neverwhere, LOTR, To Kill a Mockingbird, Memoirs of a Geisha and anything by Austen 😀

Great list. If I have a book which I just can’t get into, I’ll give it away, knowing that – when I’m ready – it will come back to me.
